Role

To hold a caseload of families who are at risk of, or subject to, enforcement action due to anti-social behaviour. To undertake full and thorough assessments of families needs and strengths and collate multi-agency information. To attend Family Intervention Panels. To provide and deliver inclusive intervention packages. Ensure monitoring is completed in line with Youth Taskforce and Youth Offending Service requirements. Work closely with stakeholder agencies. To prepare and present reports as requested. To maintain both paper and computer files. To work flexibly as required. To attend Court if required. Contribute to and develop best practice with the team and service provision.

Relevant experience of working with children and familiesRelevant experience of undertaking assessmentsWorking to tight deadlines and producing reportsAble to work flexible hours, work independently and under pressure. Ability to engage and communicate effectively with young people, parents, carers teachers and other professionals at all levels. Ability to work effectively in supportive partnerships working through and with others for the benefit of young people and their families.Ability to problem solve, innovate, plan, organise, overcome barriers and implement solutions effectively.Ability and willingness to respond positively and effectively to change and innovation.Ability to work within a team plan and manage own workload, achieve agreed targets and objectives, and evaluate outcomes.Able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the effect of social and economic disadvantage on young people and families.Current legislation and issues regarding anti-social behaviourSocial Work, Health, Youth Work, Education, relevant degree or substantial relevant experience of working with children, young people and families.Ability to travel throughout the Borough.
