Family Support WorkerJob ID: 2444 Job Details: Purpose of the job: To provide an outreach and signposting service to all families with pre-school children in the Children Centre area and a family support service to families in need of such provision. To enable parents, carers and their children to access a range of services which will enhance and improve the quality of life for those families and ensure the best start in life for their children. To develop group activities, as needed, for parents / carers and children aged 0 – 5 years.
Main Duties and Responsibilities: To offer an outreach and initial contact service to all families with children aged 0 – 5 in the Children Centre area. To ensure families with children 0 – 5 years are aware of relevant Children Centre and other services. To signpost and support families to access appropriate services and other agencies where necessary.
