Youth Inclusion and Support Panel [YISP] Case Officer North LondonJob ID: 2423 Job Details: Youth Inclusion and Support Panel [YISP] Case Officer North London To do direct one to one and group work with young people age 8 to 17 who may display difficult, challenging and aggressive behaviour. To interview, assess and write reports on YISP clients and their parents and develop and implement intervention plans in order to advise the Youth Inclusion and Support Panel re suitable interventions for these YISP clients. To work with these young people in the YOS offices, their homes and in other locations in the community. To case manage all YISP, Individual Support Order and Child Safety Order clients interventions accordance with the YOS Case Management system, Enforcement Policy, Local Policies and Procedures, Statue and the Enfield Youth Justice Plan. To liaise and work with partners from various agencies such as the Police, Children’s Services and the voluntary sector etc as well as volunteers to provide high quality support and intervention for YISP clients. To carry out all of the administrative tasks associated with Case Management such as appointments letters, electronic referral forms, Court reports [i9n the case of ASBO / ISO] and paperwork and detailed recording etc to a very high standard. To help facilitate Youth Inclusion and Support Panels and to ensure that all other stakeholders are involved / consulted as part of the overall YISP process. To assist the YISP Co-ordinator in effectively promoting the concept of Youth Inclusion and Support Panels. To receive all referrals and initiate process within the time limits set down in YISP procedures. To participate in the staffing and organisation of group induction and introduction meetings for young people and parents. To facilitate meetings and carry out and complete Onsett, DUSTand ROSH and other detailed assessments with young people and their parents within required timescales and to a high standard. To record all contacts and information on UMIS and other data bases in line with recording policy and national standards. Prepare, review and adapt detailed intervention plans for young people based on the YOS case Management procedure, APIR and Risk and Protective factors as identified in the Assessment. To prepare written YISP reports in accordance with YOS standards within procedural time frames. To ensure that high standard reports are presented, having gone through the correct quality assurance processes, within the standard YISP timescales in order to allow YIS Panel Members to preview in time for panel meetings. To assist in the induction, training and development of volunteers. To ensure that appropriate supervision, warnings and enforcement actions [in the case of Acceptable Behaviour Contract, ASBOs, Individual Support Orders and Child Safety Orders] is taken in order to deal with any failure to engage and ensure that prompt action is taken to allow, if necessary, for Breach action to take place before the Order expires. To work within YOS and Enfield Council Policies and Procedures in the delivery of all interventions for clients. To ensure that all activities are recorded in accordance with the national and local policies and procedures. To participate in Team and Service meetings and the YOS Duty rota or any other team or service activity as requested. To ensure that advice and guidance is provided to panel members so as to assist in their decision making process. Undertake all other administrative tasks, e.g. filing, electronic transfers data cleaning as may be essential to the maintenance and development of an efficient YOS YISP section.
