Resedential Property LawyerJob ID: 2271 Job Details: Residential Property Lawyer £18 - £23 per hour Contracted Monday to Friday Full Time Employment Involves This role involves being able to: ·To conduct and manage a wide range of legal case work and advise in respect of conveyance and property matters, and assisting in the provision of legal advice and support in respect of the above to officers and occasionally Members, and supervising the work of one Assistant Lawyer and/or of one trainee solicitor. ·Including allocating work, determining and setting priorities, and setting and monitoring standards of performance. ·On behalf of the Our Client’s to negotiate with senior managers in government departments, public authorities, and other organisations on matters relating to conveyance and property transactions in order to determine Our Client’s interests. ·To deal with all matters arising under or in relation to Part II of the Landlord & Tenant Act 1954 including conducting proceedings in the County Court in relation thereto. ·To attend committees, working parties, case conferences and other meetings as required, giving legal advice to Members, Chief Officers and their staff on property matters. ·To interpret and draft reports on new, existing and proposed legislation, and to contribute to reports for committees. ·To produce recommendations for changes in procedure and/or policy, methods of working and drafting of documents. To assist in the provision of training to staff in client departments on conveyance and property matters. ·To draft notices and negotiate and draft deeds, and attend upon their execution. On matters related to the post holder’s area of work to undertake all preparation for Courts, Tribunals, Public Inquiries and Arbitrations, including drafting briefs for Counsel.
