Job Details: My client who is a North West Local Authority needs two lawyers one for their contracts team and one for the childcare team
Pay rate depending on experience:
Contracts Lawyer
Provide specialist and proactive legal advice and assistance on all issues arising within the postholders area of responsibility, including:-
the contracting and procurement process
related employment and financial matters
the development of the Council's procurement processes
issues arising from existing contracts
Prepare and negotiate contracts, agreements, deeds, orders, notices, statements and other documentation
Assist in the development of policy, procedures and good practice
Consider and advise on Executive, committee and other similar reports, attend meetings of the Executive and committees to give legal advice as necessary, advise on Executive arrangements and ensure the legality of the Council's decision making.
Keep up to date with changes in the law (undertake training where necessary) and other developments in this area of work, and to advise on any action required to be taken as a result
Participate in Unit and/or corporate working groups.
Contribute towards the development of the team and the Unit as a whole
Childcare Lawyer
Candidates must have previous child protection experience within a local authority
